How Can I Get Involved?

Interested in short term mission?

Every year, a number of people go from Alma Church to serve for a period of weeks or months as volunteers in short-term missions. The Missions Team can assist in three ways:

• Providing information to those who want to find out the possibilities for short-term service
• Producing a reminder and news release to encourage prayer support
• Arranging for a contribution towards the expenses of volunteers

Mission? What's that? How can I understand more about what mission means today?

Both offer many informative and thought-provoking texts and ideas. We've also produced a series of Bible Studies which highlight some of the issues facing the church today - ask us (Bob Hurley) for details.

I've got a particular organisation or individual I support already and I'd like to tell others about their work - what could I do?

Why not organise a meeting in the church hall? You could lay on themed food, music, invite a speaker, etc... even turn it into a fund-raising event!

I want to get involved in some mission work - what could I do?
